TEA FOR TWELVE........ the Atlanta Bloggers are at it again!!

The ladies got together again today for a fun filled day of food.....tea.....and laughs.....
Oh....
And lots of pictures.....
Everybody's Favorite Baker
hosted the event and it was wonderful! Not only can she bake up a storm but she's getting pretty good in the
tablescaping division....
Her beautiful condo was decked out in all things red for
Valentine's day...

Two tables were set with beautiful china and lovely teacups.....

At each place was a handmade
Candy Cone....
Yes Ladies......Joyce is a master crafter as well.....
Who Knew?
I don't think Joyce even knew....

Everything was centered around tea.....
from these beautiful plates to Joyce's tea cup apron from Harrods in London

And then there was food.....

fabulous looking scones made by our hostess....
along with homemade lemon curd and jam...

Chicken Salad sandwiches on mini croissants....
Rose asked for the recipe...
Not one really....
I just took alot of boneless skinless chicken breasts that I simmered for about 45 minutes...
I added lots of toasted pecans.....diced red onion.....diced celery.....and some
seedless tiny red grapes cut in half....
I think the secret to it's success was using half mayo and half sour cream...
a little salt and fresh ground pepper....
Easy as that!!
Speaking of Rose our resident "SantaMaker"
brought delicious deviled eggs....

There were mini quiche....

And did I mention we had dessert with that cup of tea....

everything was in honor of Valentines day.....

Well....maybe everything but the banana bread....
It too was very tasty as were the cheese straws...
I must have eaten a dozen of them...
Boo wanted to know why he couldn't eat all of these while he stood
watching me decorate them...
He did get a few I have to admit...
Dogs have to get a Valentine Too!
Susan from
brought this amazing looking chocolate cake with fresh strawberries
Another shot of Joyce's Craft Skills...
they were filled with candy ofcourse.................

Cheryl from
brought everyone one of these adorable
"heart tokens"
I was attempting to get that perfect group shot then decided to just start snapping......
More fun to see everyone having such fun....
Alot of the ladies had left by the time we all got up from the table to get this picture....
From left to right.....
Our Hostess with the Mostess......Oh please do people still really say that?
Joyce.......Flour Power
Debbie.....Confessions of a Plate Addict
Miss Rose.......The Santamaker
Robin.....our new friend blogger @ Fonville Farm
Linda.....another new friend blogging @ A La Carte
Sandie......The Chatty Crone.....being chatty with
Susan.....Our very own Master Tablescaper....
from Between Naps on the Porch...
One of us is pregnant......the others......
Menopause Middles....
Okay so I'll speak for myself.....
You guessed right!!
This is new mom to be Robin
Robin is new to Atlanta so stop by her blog and welcome her to town....
Us girls will all be getting together in the spring to welcome
The new baby into the world of blogging...
Now this is much better..... But Sandie Why are you hiding in the back?

And one last shot that the photographer had to get in to..... before someone got tempted to
throw my camera off the porch....

I hope you all enjoyed another fun day with the Atlanta bloggers....
Yes....we are as fun as we look.....We really enjoy seeing each other and we are always
planning out next outing
So stay tuned!!

Oh my goodness - that 'little' tiny gal hidden on the back right -she is so cute and so adorable. So good looking. . . and natural blonde!

You got the pictures up in great time - thanks for doing that.

I had a wonderful time - enjoyed meeting and talking to everyone.

Didn't even mind getting lost in the garage!

Joyce has a lovely home and she did go to a lot of work.

Sandie (the cutie on the right - lol).

I'm seeing my local friends next week. Well, not exactly local. I'm driving to the Big City to meet them and then on up to CT for overnight.

Looks like fun. And way too much food!!

Sue how great that you took all these lovely photos and posted them so quickly. I had such a wonderful time meeting all of you and can't wait until our next get-together. I don't even 'hate' my photos except the first group shot where I am as always running my mouth! Joyce was the best hostess! Her home as you showed was so beautifully decorated and really made it a festive tea!
Thanks again all of you for inviting me!

Sue, I am so glad that you took pictures. I pulled my camera out (deficient as it is) but got too wrapped up in the moment to take any photos.

A great group and a fun party!

Hi Sue! What fun you had - beautiful people and beautiful food! Things are better around here - I'm going through a whole series of yucky tests, but feeling better by getting the asthma under control with the inhaler. Shoulder is great and has been the easy part. Thanks, always, for your concern. Sally

You girls have waaay to much fun down there in Atlanta. I was laughing so hard reading your Tom Selleck post. Tom's still got it don't you think? My hubby sometimes has to go back to change when we go out. Not always, just every now and then. Have a great weekend. Mimi

Hey, Sue! Do keep me posted. I have something on the second Thursday of the month that I absolutely can't get out of, but I think I'm okay for most of it. There might be a wedding, but I've got to check those dates with a friend. But I might just surprise y'all and roll up your way! :-)

XO,

Sheila :-)

Hey Sue, Wow, it looks like I missed another great get together! I'm guessing Debbie told you all that unfortuanately my company through in a travel trip to Charlotte, NC for nearly the entire week and I wasn't getting back into town before end of day Thursday...I knew I'd be so far behind on work it would be impossible to take off afterall. So disappointed. It looks like you all had a super time, I knew you would! Hopefully I'll get to take off for the next one. Weekdays are really hard for me to swing with my job, but I'll try my best. GREAT pics Sue! :)

These outings of yours are getting out of hand! Holy moly, that looks FABULOUS!

Funny...I was reading backwards and went from the lovely Valentine luncheon to the Varsity Grill.

The last time we were in Atlanta I managed to get us lost and we passed the Varsity. Dearly Beloved--Mr. Health Nut--didn't want to stop. Wait 'til I tell him it would have made him look like Tom Selleck.

These lunches...WOW! I think that is the neatest thing you all have done! I don't even know any Charlotte bloggers. Can I qualify for yours if I'm a mom of an Atlanta blogger? :) (Just what I need--another excuse to EAT!!) LOL!

Wow! That was some extravaganza!

She stole my heart with that teapot filled with roses. And the cones. And the tablecloth under the desserts. And those plates from Harrod's. And WOW! the food looks fantastic.

I saw your comment on Cuisine Kathleen. It would be great fun if you made a road trip to NY - but you've got to include me too!

Thanks for posting. Can you believe my insane computer will not let me view the photos again so I had to look at the post on the office computer. Now I see my photos from the Foodie Friday are also MIA? Well I think I was 10 pounds lighter last Thursday before I ate all the wonderful treats everyone made. Thanks again for all your help.

Hi Sue, thank you for your lovely comments, I used a thin glaze of powdered sugar and milk to make the white chocolate stick, you could use simple syrup or even a thin layer of frosting....the white strips are white chocolate i purchased in a package at a specialty good shop, you could leave that off if you cannot find, or replace with something else...thanks again...Phyllis
