I ALWAYS WANTED A CHRISTMAS HOUSE.... A HOUSE THAT WAS MEANT TO BE DECORATED FOR CHRISTMAS.... |
I HADN'T DECORATED IN OVER TEN YEARS SINCE WE SPENT EVERY CHRISTMAS IN JERSEY WITH DAUGHTER AND FAMILY.... |
BUT WHEN WE MOVED INTO PAPER CHASE FARM LAST YEAR IT WAS TIME TO BREAK OUT YEARS OF PACKED AWAY ORNAMENTS AND OTHER CHRISTMAS GOODIES... |
THIS YEAR I TALKED THE BOSS INTO PUTTING UP THE TREE IN OUR ENTRANCE HALL.... HE EVEN ADMITS THIS AREA WAS MADE FOR A CHRISTMAS TREE... |
NOTICE THE DEER..... JUST HUNG TODAY AFTER WE HAD A MAJOR DISASTER TRYING TO HANG MY BELOVED MOOSE HEAD.... STORY ABOUT HIS DEMISE AT ANOTHER TIME... |
THE ENTRANCE TABLE..... GREAT FRENCHY VASE FOUND AT THE POTTERY BARN OUTLET... |
PART OF MY MILK GLASS COLLECTION... LOOKING BEAUTIFUL THIS TIME OF YEAR DECKED OUT IN RED AND GREEN... |
JUST A FEW OF MY OVER 100 PIECE COLLECTION |
MY TABLE SET FOR MY BLOG LUNCH THIS COMING MONDAY.... PICTURES TO FOLLOW OF US LADIES CELEBRATING NOT ONLY THE HOLIDAY BUT ON BECOMING FRIENDS THROUGH THE MIRACLE OF BLOGGING.... |
HINTING AT WHERE THIS FAMILY WILL BE SPENDING THE HOLIDAYS.... |
OH WAIT......HOW DID MISS LIBERTY GET A SPOT OF HONOR ON THE TABLESCAPE.... |
WELL....WE ARE STARTING OUT IN NYC...... FOR CHRISTMAS WITH OUR GIRLS... |
PAST YEARS ORNAMENTS FROM "MISS CHATTY CRONE" EVERY BODY'S FAVORITE DAILY BLOGGER.... SHE WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE ON MONDAY... |
POTTERY BARN FROM A PAST YEAR..... |
THE KITCHEN TABLE DECKED OUT IN SNOWMEN.... |
NOT LIKELY OF ANY SNOW IN GEORGIA SO THESE ARE THE CLOSEST WE WILL GET TO SNOWMEN... |
SOFA TABLE IN THE GREAT ROOM.... |
A LITTLE WORN AROUND THE EDGES BUT ONE OF MY FAVORITE PIECES... |
ON THE COFFEE TABLE.... MORE GLOBES! |
ON THE HEARTH..... PINE CONE ANDIRONS.... |
NUTCRACKERS!! |
AT ONE TIME I HAD ABOUT 75 NUTCRACKERS..... AND THEN I DISCOVERED E-BAY.... I KEPT A FEW.....SHOULD HAVE KEPT MORE... |
NO BIG SCREEN FOR ME IN THIS ROOM.....I HAVE A SMALL 17" T.V. TUNED IN TO "BRAVO" ON THE BOOKSHELVES... THAT'S ALL I NEED.... A NICE FIRE AND THE "HOUSEWIVES" |
LOOKING FROM THE FAMILY ROOM INTO THE ENTRANCE FOYER... |
ONE LAST LOOK AT THE TABLE IN THE DINING ROOM.... |
MAYBE TWO..... |
CAN'T EXPLAIN WHY SOME THINGS LOOK CROOKED.... IT'S LIKE DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE.... IN MY CASE IT'S DON'T EAT SPAGHETTI THEN PHOTOGRAPH.... |
THIS IS THE HUNT TABLE THAT THE BOSS REFUSED TO MOVE LAST YEAR THIS USUALLY SITS WHERE THE TREE IS THIS YEAR... |

You certainly did Sue - and was it worth the wait - I think so. You have so many lovely Christmas decorations. Your home is beautiful as ever.
And I am lucky and blessed to get to know you and I am coming over Monday - I am so very excited.
I want to see things up close and take some photos!

Lovely. Do you want to come and decorate my house?
Your Christmas and New Year plans sound great. Enjoy your trip. My mother-in-law is heading to Paris next week for two weeks, then off to the south of Spain to spend Christmas and New Year's with her sister.
Sue- I love your Christmas house. It is perfectly suited for Christmas. The tree looks great in the Hall. I hope everyone is well and healing/healthy. Blessings to you- xo Diana

Yes, you really have a holiday house now! I look forward to reading about your bloggers' lunch.
Isn't it just such fun to decorate a house for the holidays? Your foyer tree is lovely and I even like the deer head. Waiting to hear the story of your beloved moose. ...
Hope you have a great luncheon with your pals, who will, no doubt, be oohing and aahing at the sights in your gorgeous home! ;-)

Hello Sue,
How fun that you pulled it all out again. The kitchen vignette is so cute with all those snowmen.
Blessings,
Linda
Sue, thanks for joining the party with all your Christmas cheer. I do need a link to the party added to your post.
thanks
Your home looks so pretty all decked out for Christmas! I agree that the tree looks great in your foyer. Wish my foyer was wide enough for one. I have the height, just not the width. How exciting it will be to spend Christmas in Paris! Sounds like you have something wonderful to look forward to.
Your home does deserve to be decorated! It looks great. Enjoy the blogger luncheon, and if Rose/Santamaker is there, please tell her 'hello' from me, and that I miss her blog! Merry Christmas and enjoy your travels!!
Hi, I love it all, especially the old typewriter...Connie
I can feel your Christmassy spirit expanding to fill your new home with joy and wonder. And . . . what amazing and dreamy plans you have for the holidays. I'm jealous ;-D but also, I'm in eager anticipation of hearing all about it when you get back. Love to you and yours this Christmas!
Your house does look like a beautiful Christmas house, Sue!
Poor Lady Liberty--her island got wacked by Hurricane Sandy and is closed indefinitely :(
Paris for Christmas sound slike a dream! Enjoy!
Wow! Your typewriter looks awesome all covered in greenery and such. And the deer heads look gorgeous. I can't wait to hear what happened to Mr. Moose.
Wow Sue, I just had to come by again. $200 for a real tree? We paid $25 for our cut your own 7.5 ft. balsam fir. See it on fb. Trees around us are cheap and readily available.
I still can't get over that $200!!!
Hugs,
Cindy
Wow what a beautiful home you have! I'm happy you got the house you dreamed of! I hope one day I will have the same. Your Christmas decorations are lovely I especially like the antique typewriter.
Sue, your house looks perfect for Christmas. How cute are all your decorations and party table! Love the snowmen and nutcrackers. Have a great Christmas "globe trotters". :)
Hello Sue!
Your home is lovely! That's some entry hall you have! I think it's great that you broke out the tree and decorated it along with all your other Christmas goodies! Paris sounds wonderful! Lucky you to meet other blogging friends in person! So far everyone I blog with lives at least 500 miles away!
Hi Sue! Oh, your house looks so pretty! Your tree looks so nice in your entry and that's where I put mine. You're going to Paris for Christmas!! How exciting! Have fun and thank you for popping in to see me.

I love trees in entry halls! We have one there, too--12 inches tall. Yours is perfect!
The house is lovely!
You and I must take different vitamins. Yours has an energy shot mine doesn't.
Blog lunch sounds so lovely! One of these days I'm going to come a' knocking!
Sue,
The Paper Chase Farm House looks beautiful! I love all your collections and how you've displayed them. I wish I was close enough to attend your luncheon. I have no doubt everyone has a wonderful time.
Your Friend,
Deborah
