Two Very Talented Ladies........

I Have been slow in doing this post but I could not let anymore time go by
Without telling you about two very special friends of mine....
What is that old saying about Old friends being Gold and New Friends being Silver...
You know the saying....
Well.....these ladies are both Gold...
I met Ellen through Blogging....so she is the "new friend"...
This is Why we all Love Blogging....
Meeting wonderful people that you normally would have never known.....
Ellen Blogs under the name Nouveau Stitch....
And you if have never been to her blog you are missing out on all of
Ellen's Talents.....
Ellen sews.....she actually does more then just sew.....She's like the
Queen of All Things Fabric.........
She can do anything if fabric is involved....
She also has an amazing ability to look at something....And copy it exactly....
Like the time she reproduced a huge sign that she saw in the
Pottery Barn Catalog....
This was my Christmas Gift from Ellen.....Isn't it Fabulous.....
I cried like a baby when I opened it....
But you all know how emotional I get when it has anything to do with Boo....
And that was before Ellen asked if I noticed what was in
Boo's water bowl??

She knows me so well.....
That she included Ice Cubes in his water....
Because Boo always had to have his ice cubes or he would refuse to drink....
Someone I have never met yet she remembered this....
From reading my blog.....
A very talented and very special Friend....
Love You Ellen....

Oh....and she also makes Dog Squeaky toys.....
Here is Catherine Zeta on Christmas morning in her Holiday TuTu....
Zeta thanks you too!!

And then there is the "old friend".....
I have known Sherry for probably 20 years after we met in water aerobics at the Y....
Sherry.....who we call "Dottie"....because the Boss says she looks more like a
Dottie....
is also a seamstress and she's a fabulous cook and baker....
This year for my birthday.....I told you this post is very late in being written....
We met for lunch and the book above was the first gift I opened....

A great book all about Aprons......it seems Julia Child was a Fan of wearing one....

Patterns and full instructions on how to make aprons.....

And then she pulled out of the bag.....This.....
Len....her husband made it....he's talented in his own right...
But what in the world was it....
Not a Mug Stand.....only three little arms....
After some guessing....

These came out of the Bag....
How adorable are these miniature aprons....

Every tiny little detail.....
the fabrics she chose were just perfect....

Look at the little pockets.....

Love the Popsicles and the rick rack....
I don't know how she sewed such a tiny thing.....

So to Both of these very Special women in my Life.....
I thank them both...For thinking of me....
For taking their time to make me such wonderful meaningful gifts....
Yes.....All friends are Gold...Old and New!

**Blushing** (not to be confused with a hot flash). I loved your stories about Boo and even though I never met him, he was special to me too. I've only ever had one dog in my life and he was also a white dog who still brings a tear to my eye. And I would have done the same thing with the ice cubes, that's why it stuck with me.

You're certainly welcome, my special friend! My pleasure.

I just discovered you and your sense of humor through the Quintessential Magpie.
I love...love...love your last post about the printer ink...hysterical and quite frugal...who would have thought of doing that and then deprive you of a new dining room set...
I am happy to meet your friends and how very talented they are but I KNOW THEY ARE FRIENDS OVER talent.
I will have to find that simply divine apron book and the aprons she made you are way tooooo adorable.
I signed up to be your newest follower. You are awesome.
HAVE A SUGAR SWEET DAY

We never know when, where, and how we are going to meet our friends, do we? People pass in and out of our lives, so it's nice when we're blessed with those that care enough to do nice things for us. You received some sweet gifts, Sue!
