A LITTLE OF THIS.....A LITTLE OF THAT.

It's that time again....
When I have nothing to say and nothing to Blog about.....
So.....
I just post nonsense.....Like this.....
Me....in a funny hat holding a Chimpanzee and a French mustard jar....
Out Thrifting with the local Blog gals....
Now if I have the nerve to post this picture of me looking like this....
Then surely you can keep reading....
Here are some pictures that have been sitting in my computer just waiting to
Make and appearance.....
The Family Cat....
"Miss Kitty"
yes....just like on Gunsmoke.

I can't stand it....she looks up at him like he's
Tom Selleck...

Yes....it really does snow at the beach....

And this is why she looks at him like he's Tom Selleck....
Only a Grandfather would brave 20 degree weather to take his
granddaughter to the beach...

It was freezing...

And then she figures out a way to keep him from returning to Georgia.....
Steal all his clothes!!

A fabulous Thrift store in Pennsylvania...
Outside of Philly
2nd. Ave. Thrift....
Where all the china and glassware were
60 cents to $1.20
Now that's a Thrift Store....

"Bring me the head of Catherine Zeta Jones...."
No animals were hurt in the photographing of this picture....
Zeta loves to play in the snow....
speaking of Snow....Now that's alot of Snow!

Seen while driving on the Jersey Turnpike....
Could this possibly be good for the residents of Jersey??

Beachy Quilt....a handmade Gift from Daughter...

Our waitress Heather at our local BBQ Joint....

A midnight run to the South's equivalent to White Castle...

The Krystal Burger is actually better then White Castle....

And if you haven't had enough grease from the burgers.....
Krispy Kreme Donuts is right next door and they are also
Open All Night!!
Now a little retail therapy....
if you like Calamata olives like we do....
You won't find them any better then these....
Found in the Deli Section at Walmart...
for under $3.00
They are fabulous!
Speaking of Walmart....
They just got in these adorable storage totes for only $4.50

And matching polka dot towels....
How cute are they...

I had high hopes for Buddy of the Cake Boss Fame
When they gave him a new show called
"Kitchen Boss"...
so we tried making his Lentil and pasta dish....
Looks great yes.....
Tastes Not so Good.....it was like eating sand in tomato sauce...
I don't know maybe that's what lentils are suppose to taste like....

And Last but not least.....
Oh did I hear a big sigh of relief??
If you haven't gotten indigestion from this post This can of
Varsity Chili will do it...
The Varsity....a Famous Landmark in Atlanta has finally cashed in on their
infamous Chili....
You can now make authentic Varsity Dawgs at home for only
$3.49....
So until next time........have a great weekend!

Sue -

Your grand-daughter melts my heart.

My mom had a cat that looked exactly like Miss Kitty. She called him Sweet Pea.

I will have to find that thrift store.

We had two gorgeous days in NJ (in the 60s) and today their is a high wind warning until 9 pm tonight (up to 60 mph) Hope you are enjoying the sunshine.

Your Friend,
Deborah

Now I ran over here expecting you to be holding Bubbles the Chimp or at the very least Curious George! A monkey and a mustard jar and Sue. One of these things is not like the others...

Fun post!

Hi Sue

I haven't blogged to you since the Atlanta Country Living Fair.

I wish I could get into a thrift store like you showed in your pictures. Wow

Around this small town our goodwill have 2 shelves of nothing.

You had a fun trip I see

So much going on. Were you north again??? We must get together.

Thrifting looked fun. I don't do much of it, but I love to read about other's adventures and finds.

Miss B is getting so grown up. She's adorable. And the love for her grandfather - I'll bet he's putty in her hands.

Hi Sue - I think this is a great post! I would love to have an hour or two in that fabulous thrift shop. Very rarely do we get snow on the beach and it's so beautiful when it happens.

I'm sorry...what was this post about... As soon as I saw the Krispy Kreme picture I went into a dream-like state and I was sure I was smelling freshly baked glazed doughnuts!!! I'm pathetic...I know...they closed the only KK near us and I have been in counseling ever since! ;}
{ps...wee one and Grandpa shots are just precious!}

Great! You've made me hungry for a little grease! Lentils do have a strange texture, don't you think? Your little grandgirl is adorable. Mimi

Ooohhhh...that's the thrift store you told me about!! Look how...ORGANIZED it is!! I'm used to crap just tossed about everywhere. I am definitely checking this place out.

The grandgirl is just precious. I think you two look alike when you're smiling! And I love that the daughter is clearly embracing her quilting class skills. Well done indeed!

As for the smoky Garden State skyline…yeah ::cough:: I think it’s not so good for us ::cough cough::.

And to concur with a previous commet, your angel truly does melt my heart! What a smile!
Missing you and thinking about you...
