"and THAT".....a Hundred Dollar Bill and an Empty Shopping Cart!!!

For months now I have been watching this store
being built right near the house....
a small sign that simply said
"and That"....
What in the hell kind of name is that for a business...
and better yet....what were they going to sell???
Always looking for good Retail Therapy
as it was near completion I Googled it and still
Nothing....
Until today when we were driving home from the car
Fiasco....and I spied the sign...
"Now Open"...
The Boss totally ignored me when I shouted out....
"Hey...it's finally open!!"
Thinking he would come to a screeching halt into their
parking lot he drove right past....
So when I got home I Googled it one more time....
And low and behold I shouted with joy...
"It's the Christmas Tree Shoppe!!!"
again being ignored by the Boss I was happy inside....
Anyone who knows about the Christmas Tree Shoppes
knows it's a Haven for cheap Crap.....
"and That" is the CTS on steroids.....
owned by the same company this is the somewhat
more organized.....somewhat better selection of
crap....
And I say that in the nicest way....
I love stores like this....
and now there's one right across the street from my
Bank....
How convenient!!
They have pretty much everything you can think of...
and as it says on the outside of their building....
Entertain...Decorate...
Let's take a tour....as today was the "soft opening" as we
say in the retail business....
Very few people wandering through the place....
Me....my cart was filled to the top within 5 minutes...
Flamingos are big lately.....
I'm not a fan but our dear friend and fellow
Blogger....Linda of "A La Carte"
 is a huge
Flamingo fan.....
they are sort of cute in their flip flops....
This is where the "crap" comes in to play.....
see those lounging Alligators....
Their eyes light up and are solar powered....
You never know....they might look good out on the
Patio along side the Boy with the Dolphin....
artificial Topiary...
Ginormous Letters....
and look!
They are my initials....
adorable little chair for only $149.00....
nautical pillows were $14.99 each...
how cute is this....
More potted topiary.....and every bloggers favorite
accessory....
The Cloche.........
Beachy pillows....
You know I brought some of these home with me for
Miss B's  beach room makeover....
Good name products like all these Waverly window
Rods..
Perfect for me...
A Hot Dog cart....
a bit pricey...I think I'll stick to a pot with
boiling water to cook my dogs..
Great selection of salts and seasonings....
how cute would this be as a little
Hostess Gift....
old fashioned candy....tons of it....
Skinny Girl candy...
Now we're talking!

I happen to be a Betheny Frankel fan...
huge wine selection....

that great Polish Pottery....
All things Paris....
This stuff will sell off the shelves....
more beach related stuff.....
And the Infamous Fish Pitcher....
which people seem to hate for some reason....
I have a real one that I bought at Martha's Vineyard
and I love it....
Rachael Ray managed to get tons of shelf space....
So did Wilton baking supplies....
cheaper then at Michaels...
and a nice selection...
all kinds of baking pans....
And here is Rachael again with the thing I hate most...
the "garbage bowl"....
she needs to change the name of this....
I then came upon the tea/coffee section.....
pitchers....mugs....all sorts of accouterment.....
the Coffee Wall.....
The Tea Wall....
Tacky stuff that could give the place a bad name.....
but the good stuff out weighs the bad...
dog supplies....
cats too!!
a very nice gift wrapping section....

Birthday Party stuff including a cute Party Banner...
I loved this!!
Party Supplies....
and finally the end of the line....
with my cart filled.....
it was time to head home...
I had this lovely girl as my "happy to serve me"
Cashier...
When I asked if I could take her picture she hesitated
and was concerned she would get into trouble...
You know me...I ignore all people who don't want their
picture taken....I take it anyway...
How could I not take a picture of this happy face....
"and That"
Please don't get her in trouble....
It was wonderful to be waited on by such a nice
person...... she is an asset to your new business....

And now what did I buy????
I spent $77.00
how fabulous is this door mat....
Well...only for people who actually live in
Atlanta....
Entenmann's All Butter Loaf Cake????
Nope..
butter loaf cake scented candles....
Hey ladies....you all are getting one on Monday
when we take our road trip to
Athens....
See what you have to look forward to....
My driving.....and Entenmann's!!
Yes Necie....Livin on Lake Time is for you...
I found for only a $1.00 those jumbo size
cupcake papers....I make muffins using this size...
Again with my Peeps in mind....
Necie suggested for my annual
Necie/Linda birthday luncheon that our theme this year
be Lemons....
these great fabric placemats were only $2.69 each...
now for Miss B....
This will be used on her bed for late night snacks
Grandma's let their Grands eat in bed...
At least this one does....
and this tray says the "Beach"...

In South Carolina this past summer I drove B crazy
about not going out in the ocean too far because there had
been shark sightings....plus the water was very mucky.....
I was scared to death....another perk of being a
Grandmother....
So I thought she would appreciate this sign....
It will hang in her bathroom...
for her bed....
I will be making a "Tiffany Blue" and white buffalo checked
dust ruffle and a white coverlet....
It will match the color of her iron bed....
I thought this pillow would look cute...
And finally...
Eat
Sleep
Beach.....

I see they pulled you under their spell, hook line and sinker! Haha. It wears off eventually, I think.

Oh my goodness, you are their ideal customer, and I like lots of the things you photographed. Good thing it is near your bank, ha ha. I haven't been in or seen one of these stores, on the west coast.

It reminds me of a Home Goods store more than a CTS. The beachy decor you bought for your granddaughter's room is really cute! She will love it!

I want to go there! You guys are booming there - getting your own Whole Foods too. I will have to look up the exact address. Love junk too!

This post has me smiling from ear to ear! It is certainly my kind of place also. Much higher end goods then CTS it seems. I love that Flamingo, it had flip flops AND sunglasses on it's head!! The beachy stuff for B's room is adorable. Makes me want to make over one of my rooms. Can't wait to see all of you on Monday! I need my girlfriends for a pick me up lunch!
hugs,
Linda

Our theme for this year is lemons...as in the famous saying goes
, "when life gives you lemons-go shopping". I will have to check this place out!

This is way better than CTS...kind of a World Market/Home Goods/CTS kind of store. Next time you go in you need to tell them that they need to build one in Athens for Linda and myself. Oh...I like the fish pitcher, too, thought it was cute. Love the items you picked and can't wait to see Miss B.'s room. See you all on Monday.
