ANOTHER DAY....ANOTHER TRIP TO IKEA.

I spent Wednesday with Joyce....
You all know what that means...either getting in to
some sort of trouble or ending up at Ikea....
Our "Happy Place"...After I dropped off my VW for service
And J dropped off her BMW for detailing we took a quick trip
to Lenox Square in Buckhead....
After I got conned into buying some sort of
"Dead Sea Salt scrub" from a very pushy guy at a Kiosk
We headed down Peachtree Street for lunch...
After a Tasty lunch at the new Shake Shack...
What were two crazy ladies to do for entertainment...
We still had a few hours before our cars would be ready...
So Of Course we headed to Ikea....
Not intending to write a blog post we started wandering around the showroom on the second floor when we
Stumbled upon a little alcove where they set up a
Little pantry/craft/gift wrap room...intrigued by the item above
we stood like two idiots deciding #1 the price and #2
what the hell was it made of....
A wonderful idea to store your wrapping paper...
It turned out to be simple curtain rods....
What was $1.99??? What was $7.99???
It seems it's put together with all different components...
But very clever...We love the Europeans!!
Here is another section of the storage closet....
Ikea does have the best storage options...
But as me and daughter always point out....You can buy
furniture for cheap....but for some reason their storage items
can be pricey.....especially the cardboard crap...
Go Figure....
Moving along I thought heck let's do a Blog Post...
For all of you who don't have the luxury of having
an Ikea close by....Not that we want to make you
Jealous!
although there are some people (but I don't know who?)
That hate Ikea....oh that can't be.
I love these chairs....
for $89.00 how can you go wrong....
and they were comfortable!
Gray was a big color all over the kitchen
Showroom.... it's a lovely color...
Another very cute idea....that any idiot could do....
We saw this in more then one room vignette...
Just a simple piece of fabric hanging from a curtain rod...
a white table and chairs....
Just plain cute...
Lot's of Spring Stuff....
Outdoor furniture and plant stands...

You can always find one really pretty bedding ensemble...
How lovely is this....and yes that is
embroidery....
Cute Bunnies for Easter....
Some beautiful new patterns and colors
in their Duvet collection....Most prices are $39.99 for the set
which includes pillow covers...
This is what I love about Joyce....Most people say...
"Don't take my picture".....Joyce says....
"Wait let me fix my hair"....I hate to say it but we are
both "Camera Whores"....
I can't use this anywhere in my house...But every time
I go I want to bring this rug home with me...
I love the colors...
Their new blue and white items for Spring....
We loved the dark navy fabric until we noticed
the bug....see it....It looks like the infamous
"stink bug"...
Don't want that!!
More new items....raspberries....
And bright green pears....

The Green theme was all over....
See those white pears on the table....they are little
Lights!
We wandered in to the clearance area and what did we find...
It was "Wacky Wednesday"....
Of Course there were no employees to be found....

To monitor the wheel spinning...
So what did we do....
We took more picture with the Ikea Wheel of Fortune!!
it seems you can spin the wheel and what ever percentage
comes out you get to take that off your
Clearance purchase....
This would have been our purchase of choice....
it was a "WTH" item....
(that would be a "what the hell" item)
So our trip ended at the cash register with a few
small purchases.....
We debated getting a hot dog or going back upstairs for
dessert....
But we had just had this.....
Yes....a Shack Burger...and Yes...it was as good as it looked...
And to add extra interest to our day as we were eating
We looked out the window of the
Shake Shack and saw this.....
This would be Atlanta Icon...
"Baton Bob"....

Yes...a man with a baton..... a prom gown
and a mask...
And you thought the
Housewives of Atlanta
were crazy....
Bob gave us a big wave and posed for a picture...
If you want to read all about Bob
You can check him out here.

AND THEY SAY SUE AND JOYCE ARE
WACKY....

I want to go on an IKEA trip with you! You have so much fun. Usually I'm on a mission or with John, so my trips are usually fast and furious.

And Baton Bob seems like the icing on the cake to a day well spent by two girlfriends!

Oh my goodness what a crazy wonderful time you two had in crazy wonderful Atlanta. You should send this into IKEA and see if you two could be the Housewives of IKEA. If you do remember your agent here.

So what did you buy?

Maybe I need to go with you so you can navigate the IKEA maze for me. I hated the one time we went!!! Too much visual stimulation of things I would never need!!! Always enjoy your IKEA posts, however. Sally

WOW...this was tame for the two of you "whacky" girls, but you do see the most interesting people/stuff (I am talking about "Baton Bob"). Wish I lived closer to you two so I could go along on these adventures. See ya both next week...

It's always fun to visit an IKEA with a friend! I can never leave without buying something. The last time I went I bought children craft supplies--they had paper on a roller device, and poster paint and brushes. Shake Shack burgers are so good! I always had one whenever I went by Madison Square Park.

Baton bob is just a leeeetle creepy. Hmmmm. I haven't been to Ikea since last fall and I see lots of things in your post that I want to see now. My youngest lives about 10 minutes from the store so I think I see a shopping trip in our future:>) Don't you think they should compensate you for this excellent post? I do!

Oh, when you and Joyce get together, there is bound to be fun, fun, fun. Joyce, I love your new longer hair. I really like all your Ikea finds too. Wish we had an Ikea here! Baton Bob reminds me of my high school past... way in the past... I was a majorette and we had two guys, one my senior and another my junior, who could have given Bob a run for his money. Memories!!

A fun day for you both by the looks of it. I like Ikea, one time my friend and I went to Glasgow which is our nearest Ikea, we went for a coffee beforehand but could we find our way out of the eating area?, I told the lady at checkout that we didn't get out much! We were going around in circles. My younger daughter has an Ikea kitchen. We have one of the Ikea bookcases and my desk is from Ikea, all good solid wood as well. Yes their stuff is good.
