Sometimes all you need is Small and Simple.... Which is what we found at this Adorable Cottage in Sag Harbor New York called.... "The Forever Cottage" |
Never knowing what to expect when you rent something Online we were pleasantly Surprised when we opened this door. And Who doesn't love an old Fashioned Screen Door... |
A Fireplace is always a welcoming Sight... This tiny three room Cottage was the cutest thing I have ever seen..... |
Perfect for a short little getaway..... |
Simply Furnished..... |
But unmistakably Ikea!! Who says Ikea only does dorm rooms???? |
A perfect Kitchen.... if you enjoy cooking when you go to the Beach... |
Not overly done with a beach theme... Just some simple touches Here and There... |
Very comfy chairs in the Living Area... |
Original hard wood floors..... with great area rugs... |
A futon to curl up and read a book.... |
A place to hang your towels from the Beach.... |
A little welcome bottle of Wine... |
Those odd old little touches that give an old house character.... This belonged on a little mini cabinet on the side of the fireplace... |
Ikea blue and white striped bedding..... |
Ikea striped towels..... |
Which were wonderfully soft!! |
What's a Beach house without a Porch Swing... |
And of course a Picnic Table!! |
And this is what we saw all around Sag Harbor.... And yes...this is an un-touched photo using my Nikon D200 camera.... Doesn't it look like a painting... |

What a cute place to vacation in! I guess it just goes to show you don't have to spend a fortune to get a cute space. I really had to look closely at the photo of the flower to believe it wasn't a painting. Amazing!
Sue that little cottage is adorable! I could enjoy living in such a place for sure! Love Love the photo of the sunflower, it does look like a painting! You should make a canvas print of it!
hugs,
Linda
It reminds of a grownups playhouse, and it is cute, cute, cute! So is your car, Sue!
And that photo is very cool. How did it do this? Neat!

I loved that cottage - so cute and perfect. Sometimes simple is beautiful - you know what I mean?
And that car - well if you say so.
The flower should be entered into a photo contest.
Glad you are home.
Looks like a charming little place, as you say, for a weekend get-away.
That is the cutest little cottage, just big enough for a couple enjoying the beach.
The wild sunflowers that Kansas is known for are finally in boom...doesn't seem nearly as many as other years, though.
Have a great week, Sue.

Really cute cottage. Hope you had a wonderful time!
I don't think I would ride in that car. lol
Hope you have a restful vacation at the cottage and that Miss B got to join you!
Hey, lady!
You asked me a question which I had every intention answering and got sidetracked.
My hand is doing better. It hurts if I overuse it. It was fractured in an odd place, a couple of places, in a fall last Sept and took months to heal. She just grabbed it and crunched it in a handshake. Episcopalians are no match for Baptists! LOL. It was a young girl who was very sweet and friendly and just gave too firm a handshake. She had been playing violin at a special service at a friend's church, and I think she had an adrenalin rush. But it was swollen and sore for quite some time. Finally feels better! I have small bones, and her hand enveloped mine and hit at just the right spot to crunch it. Basically, it reinsured it. I gave it lots of time to heal.
