Listed on the Historic Hotels of America... "National Trust for Historic Preservation" They aren't doing a very good job of preserving the joint.. |
Certainly a place for people to go and just sit and relax...although it was filled with families with small children.. There was even a wedding going on... |
Spectacular yes? |
When I said right on the lake....it was Right on the Lake... |
One of the restaurants down on the dock... We had the 2 day meal plan which included both a buffet breakfast and a dinner... Small Children eat and stay for free.. |
And here is the Only sign that you were in the Adirondacks... your bath supplies in a mini canoe... I was so tempted to "borrow" this... Nah....I left it....can't be tacky. |
Dinner we got a choice of an appetizer a main course and dessert... I picked the Hummus which was very good. |
Here's where I say the one really good thing about the Sagamore... The breakfast Buffet..... FABULOUS!!!!! |
another nice feature was a boat ride around Lake George which came with your room price... It was a nice probably hour and a half ride up the lake and back... very relaxing... |
Campers on the side of the lake! |
the familiar Boathouses on the Lake... |
Okay....I really am in the Adirondacks!! |
And these people put the "A" in Adirondack! |
and then there was this Kook who felt the need to Meditate in the middle of the boat. While sitting a top the Life Vests... |
Plastic chairs???? |
this is what the whole lake looks like. |
Rounding the bend to head back.... |
If you prefer the beach instead of the Lake.... they have a sand beach!! |
And of course a lot of Flags...... And here is Sophie saying.... "This Place cost How much!!" |

Sorry for the inconviences but what a beautiful setting!
Well I can understand the C grade with all the problems - but the views and that boat ride and seeing homes on the lake - A+! Beautiful. sandie
Glad you had a getaway with your girls but ugh to the bad service and unkept facility. The views were gorgeous but for the price...C- too my way of thinking!
Enjoyed your latest travelog! Those steps would have killed me - didn't matter that the elevator was dirty -- that would be the way to go. Food looks good, though. Yes I do read a lot -- probably too much, but then I'm lazy. Our kitchen is a mess, so no cooking -- new countertops, back splash, cupboard doors, and paint job. Good excuse to sit around!! Only one tile guy in town, so we are on the list for the last of October, so it will be awhile. Guess it's been two years since I was in Munich, but it seems like yesterday. I loved it, also. No flooding here as that's in Northern Colorado. Take care, Sally
It certainly LOOKS like a beautiful place to stay, almost European, and the food looks wonderful. Too bad about the service.
That Miss B is getting prettier by the day... such a grown up young lady. Happy birthday to you and daughter... glad you got to spend it together. I know you had fun in spite of the poor review you gave the place.
What a disappointment. Sorry your get away wasn't a wonderful experience from start to finish. It should have been! No excuse for poor service and "tired" accommodations.
I love your reviews! Of course I'd be shaking in my boots if you ever came to visit! Miss B is getting so grown up!
The views looked pretty, but I'll stay here!
Did you send your review to them?
