CSI SEARS..............

We had our carpets cleaned earlier this week by Sears.....
Both me and the Boss were a bit curious to see the cleaning guy come
in and start going around the house with a
black light....
You know like the ones they use when looking for crime scene clues....
I felt like I was in an episode of Law and Order Criminal Intent...
The Real Crime was when he handed me the bill and the amount
was different then what I agreed to online....
It seems in the tiny print on their contract they have a
$14.00
Fuel Charge.....
Can you imagine if everyone that performed a service for you charged you for gas to get to work.....
Leave it to Sears.......

Not surprised at all. It's NOT the Sears/Roebuck we grew up with anymore. Their charge should be all inclusive rather than having a separate fee for something like gasoline. They are just like the banks charging for every little item.

Unbelieveable!

How the heck can they change the price once it is agreed on? That stinks!

That happens here..they have to come 45 min. over the mountain so most places charge $50.00 for gas! I just hate it!

I can believe this as we have paid for the last 10 years a charge for some companies to drive onto the island and there is NO charge to go over the bridge so we can never figure out this bogus charge? Ripoff! If you do not cancel your Drs. appointment within 24 hrs you are charged but if the Dr. cancels your appointment does he send us money? Crazy upside down world!

When gasoline headed up toward the $4 a gallon mark a few years ago, a lot of my building material suppliers started tacking on a fuel surcharge for their deliveries. Now that gasoline is only in the $2.50 range, they still have the same fuel charge.

Let me see, were they coming from 50 miles away? Because that's enough gas money for quite a trip. Ridiculous!
