It's that time again when Sue has too much time on her hands so I looked around the
Internet and came up with picture perfect
decorating ideas....
I ran out of inside rooms so I thought I would take it out onto decks and porches
and lawns....
This is a long one so go grab yourself a cup of tea and a snack...
And I hope you enjoy and get some good ideas for your outdoor spaces.....
And as usual....all pictures comes with commentary from
"The BackSeat Decorator"...
actually have it inside the house....
I love it....You can put a wet glass down on the table and nothing happens!!
Someday it will go outside when I get a patio or a porch...
loved the idea of using a galvanized bucket as a little table
striped red cushions....gives it a bit of a spark....
an old painted trunk of some sort as a coffee table...
Angel!!
If we all lived in France....
because nobody does "al fresco" dining like the Europeans...

Oh wait....make that tea for three!!
I have 2 rockers on my porch....
Only problem the builder made the porch too shallow so the chairs have to each
sit facing each other....
Very odd....and not very eye appealing.
very beachy...
I would kill off all those beautiful plants in a week...
Makes you want to sit outside all day and just eat!
She loves her porch swings..
and that cake looks pretty good too!
Outside??
Give me an American Flag and I'm happy....
but I think I could do without that crystal chandelier....
And if you have to have one at least hang it over the table...
or just an excuse to have the ladies over for lunch...
red and paisley what a great combination for an outdoor space...
very "girly"
What a great dividing wall...
Outdoor in the City
Casual is always so welcoming...
Again....Let's have the ladies over for a picnic lunch...
the background....pretty no matter where it is...
and don't forget the banner.
Just a simple old bench to do some gardening at....
Okay ......here is the "tea for two" shot...
Checks and quilts....a little wicker...
This little wrought iron chandelier I like...
it's nice and simple for an outdoor space...

Sue those are some beautiful outdoor spaces. I saw several I could move into and never leave! Thanks for gathering this lovely outdoor eye candy!
Great outdoor spaces. Wish we could create something nice outdoors like those pics.
Wow, most of them are awesome, the only one I didn't care for was the BLUE SCREAMING WATERFALL/WALL thing. Scared me.
I loved them..not the city ones..too crowded!
And who is dragging those big heavy upholstered chairs outside?
But a good selection of looks to go for.
I am telling you to buy stock in Krylon paint. Around here this time of year, there's a run on it to spray the wicker. I need another case, and a day with no wind so dh stops yelling that it is blowing on his car. He should get a white car and he won't have to worry!
I loved every single one of these! And that bucket idea... I have one of those big tins! I might have to try that! :-) Gosh, there were so many cute ideas on these pages. And I am in love with that little garden house or folly. I want one of those in the worst way! If we weren't selling the St. A. house, I would be doing all sorts of things to the yard like this. Thanks for the veritable ocean of ideas, Sue!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Sue I love this blog....Love it!!!!And I would be honored to have tea with such a great group of "Steel Magnolias"...Thanks for the invite..And I can't wait to exchange ghost stories with you...
I loved these...reminded me of when I was little and my grandma would make a tent house for me on her cloths line..she'd put furniture in too..so much fun! :D
Lot's of fun and inspiring pics Sue! A chandelier outside does seem a bit odd, I love the relaxed country look the best! thanks for showing us this nice tour~
Cindy
Most are wonderful but I especially liked the "al fresco" setting. Now if there were more moments for sitting and enjoying some of these outdoor spaces!
Got my coffee and a bagel and sat down to enjoy your outdoor pictures. There were so many to choose from - it was hard to pick a favorite - but I like the one near the end with the screened in porch and nice bed - wouldn't it be so nice to sleep there when it was nice and cool and breezy?
Then for a real outdoor patio - I kind of liked the first one.
Thanks for helping me dream a little bit.

Hi Sue-- Red and paisley was my favorite. Gotta have that red! How are things going for you? I'll have to email you one of these days and tell you how old my mother-in-law really is!! Have a great week - I'm off for my weekly Wed. A.M. coffee group. Sally
I love them all. Great outdoor spaces... maybe they'll inspire me. Of course, I can fix it all up but Pa won't want to eat outdoors. When he works outside all day, he wants AC and no insects... go figure!
Hi! yes, I want to have lunch with some ga. bloggers in june. I'll e mail you . My email is clugem@yahoo.com. Now, love your blog. the pics are great. I have relatives in France and have a big old house with high ceilings and many cracks in the walls that have to be repaired. Your ideas look great.
I love this post, Sue. I would give just about anything to have a nice porch with a swing. Lots of inspiration in these photos.
You had me at #1. . . but then I decided I'd rather nap on the sleeping porch. Perhaps someone would bring me a snack. . .
Gorgeous photos Sue! I havent seen the light of day since I began classes this spring! Ugh! I love the green bench with the flowers, I have to admit, that even though the upholstered chairs outside look so beautiful it wouldn't work here in Michigan with our rain. I wish I could import all of these into my back yard!
OH WOW Sue - I absolutley adore some of these spaceas. Having grown up with a huge garden it's hard not having one where I live at the moment. Well, that's not strictly true - I have acces to one, as does others who live in my flat so I rarely sit out and I can't potter around tending borders and dead-heading as I;d like! One day I will have a beautiful garden! x
These pictures are cool. What a beautiful place! I wonder I could build such place for me. cheap garden furniture
Oh my gosh! you are way too funny! I laughed out loud at a couple of your comments. I needed to smile today. Thank you for the great outdoor room pics.
I'm going to try your stew from the other post...looks very yummy!
