What better time to paint that front door....
Give it a mini "FaceLift".....with a fresh coat of paint.....A new color perhaps! Here are some ideas for you all.....
I love color so beware that some.......Well.....Most of the pictures are on the
Bright Side.
Blue seemed to be extremely popular....
Especially on gray houses...
And then there were gray doors.....
But we all know I love Red.....This in not my front door....
But mine is painted red....

I so want to paint our front door red but hubby likes it green. Hmmmm, it is just paint, not like I would be changing the door. Hmmm. If I paint it red and get in trouble with hubby can I blame this post? LOL
A-door-able post. (Couldn't reist) :)
I am going red...side is already red, we just got a new one, and next month a new one for the front, and it will be red..Right now it is blue..
Son has purple! AT first I was like..ohhhh, but now I like it!
People knock on their door and ask him what paint and color!
I love that Nantucket pic..Can't wait for flower time!
I am trying to be daring and go out of my comfort zone to paint our front door. It will get done this spring. In the past I have done barn red, like you, red is a color I love in some shade. I was thinking of going green kind of like that first picture on your post but am still undecided. Any suggestions?
What a great post, Sue. I love all the photos. I have a tomato red front door and smile every time I look at it. It shouts out "welcome."
I just told Bob yesterday that he needed to paint the front door. It was red until the front entry redo last fall - needs to be red again! My first red door was back in 1962 on our first house. BTW, did you wear red hot pants? Take care, Sally
Love the lime green door. I wonder how my purple(suppose to be blue) would look painted lime green????
Ask Boo if he would mind since he has too look at my door every time he goes outside to do his bizness.

I'm going for door number one - lol - red - shiney red. Bold. Beautiful!

I'm with you, it's goptta be red, and mine is. I love some of the details of these doors. It is the little details, as much as the color, that makes some of these so charming and beautiful!
Yes, I'm with you!!! Ours is boring WHITE and I've been after hubby to paint it. He needs to read this post!
Hum, mine is chocolate brown along with all the other trim. However, I really do like red doors and I like yellow ones too if they aren't too bright. Great post. Hugs, Marty
My favorites are the yellow doors and that kinda surprises me!
Beautiful front doors. They say a lot about what's inside the house don't you think? My front door is red too. Mimi
Sue, right now my door is the same dark brown as my shutters, but I have been thinking of painting it a different color.
Hi Sue!
Whoa....I LOVE these doors.....How pretty and cheery. In our old house light gray with white trim, I painted the front door PINK.....not quite raspberry....Oh, it made me so happy!
Have a great day....
Huggies,
Spencer
I want that red door with the lizard handle! And the house that I can imagine goes with it! In New Mexico or Arizona perhaps...
Red and yellow...hmmm...and blue and white too. I can't decide. Maybe a new color for each season? My own front door is not anywhere so exciting as these...!
Love these! I have a black door that I love, and I also have a multi-colored door painted by the former owner of a Victorian we own. But I have always wanted a red or a blue door. Doors really do speak to us, don't they?
XO,
Sheila :-)
hi! thanks for stopping by JerseyShoreJournal & following...
My son and daughter in law finally got their new front door installed today!! They have been fixing up a house..It is bright red! My granddaughter 1 1/2 calls it Apple Door...I guess she thinks Apple is the color red!
Love all the doors. They make such a statement and curb appeal.
Cheers! Jennifer aka Gigi
I agree with Joan--this was an a-door-able post! Ha. I've been wanting to paint my front door for ages but can't decide what would look best. It's dark green now and there are shutters to match, so I have to either choose something to go with the green or repaint everything. Thanks for the inspiration! I'm loving those yellow doors, and the light blue. So pretty.
I love all the different color doors, actually my fav was the yellow and green!
I loved this one! So, if our house is a very soft yellow, sort of like the "lovely shade of yellow" door in your post, and has white trim, what color would you recommend the door be? Right now it's white.
I liked the white on white garage doors though. Don't want mine to stand out.
That last picture... beautiful! I'm going to save that one for planting ideas.
I love the door handle one the best. Reminds me of some of the great door handles out in San Francisco. I love a pineapple door knocker too. I just saw a tulip door knocker that was so pretty but way too $$$$. I love all the door hardware to make a plain old door more interesting.
Beautiful doors, especially the dark Nantucket home with the pale blue door.
