She was always showing off great kitchen finds from both the Internet and from her shop...
So Alice if your still out there....I hope you come back to blogging soon....and this post's for you!!
very simple....very clean lines and who doesn't love white subway tile!
But I'm a lover of red....I've been trying to convince daughter to add a little
punch of color into her new kitchen.....
A simple deconstructed swag adds such a statement to this window.....
See the loaf of bread on the left.....here's a little kitchen work desk...perfect spot
to sit and write your blog...
ooops.....that one apple picture is crooked...
And what are your thoughts on wallpaper....I'm a fan.
Now we're talking.....I'm all about the pot rack.....
If someone asked what is the one necessary thing you need in your kitchen...
My answer would be a big pot rack...
Mine is overloaded and I love having everything out in the open and easy to get to....
Ofcourse if it ever falls out of the ceiling like our ceiling fan did someone will be
killed...

it looks like dark green to me but maybe it's just the light....
it gives life and personality to a galley kitchen...
Aren't those windows fabulous...
and the island stools go so well with the rustic beams on the ceiling....
adding a touch of contrast without being too dark....
I could cook in this one...
kitchen...
they could be from the 60's but they look great...
Very Very Good!
notice the island is on wheels....
and I don't know if I would have hung that chandelier above the table....
I'm a fan of pendent or school house lamps.....
double sinks.....real double sinks...see the double faucets...
Double the crap!!!
I love the blue check tile....and the plate rack built under the cabinet...
Another great checkered floor in a New York kitchen.
goodies...
How long will it stay in style...
I love the brown and white check...
Touches of 1940's green...
dark wood island top goes nicely with the dark wood floor..
Grandpa has old 1950's bar stools like these down in his basement...We've been trying for years to convince him to pass them along to us....
No go on that front...
His thoughts on the subject.....
"I'm not ready to die yet."
We have no idea what that means.....
But if we ever get them I will certainly be replacing the orange Naugahyde with something cute
Like these...
So I hope Alice that your still out there in Blogland and you get to see my version of some
great kitchen eye candy...
And to everyone else.....which was your favorite kitchen?

Well, that's it! My "want gland" just exploded. I covet every single photo, especially the white kitchens. Gosh, wouldn't it be wonderful to have a beautiful kitchen like one of these? But, knowing me, I'd have the counters stacked with stuff in no time.
I do like the white kitchens, especially when they have subtle touches of color. I'm definitely jealous of the double farmhouse sinks.
Egads these are beautiful. Oh how I want a farmhouse sink!! Okay, now I am seriously having envy issues again...ack.
But I will adomit that like Cathy in the first comment, I love my counters full and would be adding color like crazy...guess I have to asmit I am a magpie!!
Hope your book arrives soon...
Love,
Sue
The galley kitchen with the green and white checked floor. That's mine.
I love the white kitchen with the rustic beams, but then I like those double farm house sinks, and the checked floors... decisions... decisions. Glad I don't have to make one (at least not right now).
Yummy! I love the kitchen with the red swag (surprise) and the one with all the little cubbies in dark wood, and the one with the really big windows and the yellow one and....do I need to keep going? I think there is something in each one of these that appeals to me. I am thinking of painting my oak (blech) kitchen cabinets white next spring. This just makes me certain that white is what I want. Love them all!
so many great ideas, I WANT A NEW HOUSE!
Love all the kitchens, but the white with a pop of red is my fav!
I have a book of kitchen pictures I collected before we redid our kitchen...I still go back and enjoy~nice post.
hugs,
Donna
I like your post. Where would I begin? White subway tiles, farm sink, bead board walls and ceiling, white marble counter for baking, wood floor with stencil and a turquoise blue kitchen aid mixer for color. Oh and the most important thing would be a cleaning lady to follow me around all day cleaning finger prints off all the white items:) Maybe Alice is having too much fun in her white kitchen to blog.
Joyce
I would love to have any one of those, especially the ones with the pretty hard wood floors!

Every now and then I go on a binge of magazines with beautiful kitchens in them, just to enjoy the "eye candy" which it definitely is. These are wonderful; I had a great time visiting them with you.
Hi Sue! You are so sweet to think of me and post kitchen eye candy for me!! I'm so sorry I have been neglecting my blog, your post is so inspiring I will have to see what I can come up with ;)
I love all the white kitchens that you have picked out for your post, and I especially love that brown and check floor, who would have ever thought???
Again thanks for not giving up on me. A little encouragement just might be all I need to get out of my funk, come visit me soon...I promise to post something very soon!
Alice
For me, I love the New York kitchen for its warmth and coziness. I must have color surrounding me.
Okay. I just have to say, not a fan of the white kitchen. Stop throwing rotten fruit at me! I've designed four homes from scratch and not a one had a white kitchen...my current kitchen has all the other fun elements but I went with Paula Deen-esque painted cabinetry (it's the color of butter)!
Fun post and great pics!
Ellen
That was a fun tour! Believe it or not, I do love kitchens - just don't want to cook in them. My mother always said kitchens are best just for decorating and keeping clean. Wonder where I got my attitude? Loved the touches of red in that one white kitchen. Have a great weekend. Sally
I couldn't believe all the pictures you had on there! I never even thought of a white kitchen, but I have to say they are beautiful and extremely elegant.
I don't know if a white kitchen would fit into my home or not, but it does have me dreaming and thinking and wishing.
Money to do this would be great too (lol).
Touches of 1940's green, wood floor, sink under the window...this is my favourite one, even if I'm not fond of white kitchens. Have a good weekend AM! Eli
I love the brown and black tile in the NY kitchen floor. It would be perfect in my great room kitchen to match the slate rock fireplace.
Necie
Love white kitchens, but could never have one, coz I am NOt the best housekeeper-they look wonderful, love the carrera marble counters, the white sinks, the white cabinets....and like you, I like to collect stuff, so the one with the wall would be awesome...Happy Thanksgiving Sue!
Yep, those are WONDERFUL kitchens, Sue! I love all of them!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Oh, I love them! I especially like white with the punch of color and the warmness of the wood floor! HAGD Sue,
Cindy
I LOVE all of these kitchens! My favorite is the second pic with the red, but all of the pictures with the harlequin floors cought my eye!
Hugs,
Penny
I loved every single one of those kitchens. Especially loved the one with the red accents. Gorgeous. Mimi
Hi, just visited your blog first time, and found it quite interesting. Nice post indeed. Thanks for sharing it to all

I loved the little kitchen work desk, except for the wallpaper. I've pulled enough of that stuff off the walls of homes we have purchased that the prior owner left behind. Can I say here how much I really dislike wallpaper...any wallpaper. BUT, do love the little desk area with all the photos!

(Oh, and I loved the black and brown tiled floor too!)
Oh there are some lovelies here. I like the second to last with the dark wood island...but I do love those double sinks! I'd consider chopping off a couple of digits to get my remaining ones on a fabulous apron-front farm sink.
Thanks for your comments on my photos! I'd really love to learn how to really, really use a camera and use one well.
