Welcome back to Weekends in Paris..... The grand tour is almost complete....just a few more weeks..and this week we have statues... They are everywhere you look in Paris....some are very famous....others are just wonderful decorations in the gardens that are all over the city.... This guy looked awfully bored......or maybe he was on a cell phone? I love this one.....I do remember that it was in the Jardin des Plantes..... the gardens across the street from our apartment... I would go there during the day to read while daughter was in class... It is in the 5th. Arrondissment and has been there since 1626 Now that's old! Winged Victory....at the Louvre Venus de Milo......also at the Louvre every statue needs a pigeon!! this one was on someone's tomb.... Another shot of my favorite....the flowers in this garden were beautiful.. This was also in the Jardin des Plantes ......there was also a small zoo and a science museum... They went that away.......... this is a miserable looki...

CHANGING DIAPERS AT 60...................

Image
What does it take for a 60 year old man to change a diaper for the very first time in his life?? The same thing that gets him to put on a pink "Princess" crown.... a very cute granddaughter!! The Boss was not much hands on when the daughter was little....Didn't changed a diaper....Didn't feed her....never got up during the night....It wasn't until she was about 3 that he felt comfortable with just the two of them....... Something to do with thinking she would break.........They always went to the movies together and just hung out while I worked my little part time job..... All that has changed when our Miss "B" came along..... Here's grandpa down on the kitchen floor the other day.....pink crown in place.....craft box emptied.....and enjoying every minute of it.... Me and daughter went out to the local spa for a pedicure and left the grandpa in charge.... A good time was had by all and a diaper even got changed.... I was somewhat shocked by that one...

Everyone looked very excited..... and ofcourse being Paris...everyone was carrying some sort of food and wine.. The crowds started forming early....We managed to score seats pretty close to the stage...considering there had to have been thousands and thousands of people behind us..... All the ladies were out in full force....Just waiting....Big smiles... Waiting in anticipation for..................... This man!!! And his posse'.......... The Three Tenors.... A free concert.... in front of the Eiffel Tower...

"a gift from Eli Fugazza.....my friend in Italy......." On April 14th. of last year I began one of the most fun journeys of my life.....Daughter suggested I start a blog.....She thought I had something to say and I haven't shut up since.... Thank you daughter and in the spirit of this milestone here is a *not* so brief look back at a year in the life of a blogger..... Early on I introduced you to the "Boss".... here is our best impression of the Soprano's...... He loves those damn hats.... I invited you all to celebrate an anniversary and re-visit a fairytale wedding..... I didn't tell you of my favorite of all time footwear.... I considered calling the blog........"Lady in High Tops"....... My very first post was untitled....."Fat and Skinny Had a Race".......named after a wacky poem that the "Boss" knew from his childhood....I got inspired after seeing the buying habits of both a thin women and a overweight women at the ...
