I love birtdays just not what they bring. Arthritis I mean,I shouldn't say that I guess. That is not a happy thought. I love the cakes, presents , cards and all that goes with our birthday.
Happy Birthday dear Sue! So wonderful your daughter was born on your birthday...my daughter was born on my birthday...we always try to spend time together around then...
nothing like the bond of mother and daughter...Jennifer!!
Happy 60th Sue! What a sweet Story! And, the BEST birthday present 35 years ago! Our daughters are the same age! How cool! You need to really CELEBRATE this year... :) Hope to see you sometime this fall! ~CC Catherine
Happy Birthday to you two!!! How are you doing? I've been thinking about you often since the loss of Boo; but, of course, being me (lazy) I haven't acted on my thoughts. The least I could have done was send you a card, right? And now, I've missed your birthday, too. Just a bad friend all around. Hope you enjoy your weekend - aren't you going to the motherland soon? Celebrate your birthday in style!! Sally
Happy birthday to you Sue, and to your daughter! What a miracle to have her born on the same day and so close to your own time of birth, you must have lots of fun celebrating together:>)
Wishing you the very bestestest birthday! And, to your daughter too. What a perfectly perfect birthday gift. A precious daughter...who went on to give you that glorious little sweetheart with all the dark curls.
Wow Sue! What a wonderful birthday gift! I'm sorry I missed your special days here on the blog. Hope you had a very happy 60th and your daughter a happy 35th! xx♥♥ Pat
I love that familial birthday date -- how clever of you. :-)
Daughter alida is born the day after howard's birthday, but I thought she'd be born on that day. I thought wrong! Anne's born 5 days after me. Close, but not as spot-on as yours! Cass
I am a little delinquent but Happy Birthday! How special that your daughter shares your birthday too. And welcome to the 60's by the way; my turn was just a couple of months ago.
To both beautiful ladies...a very happy birthday. I have had you in my heart and thoughts so much of late. I know it is because of your birthday and Boo both. Sending you many more hugs and love always...please tell your daughter happy birthday from us too! Love, Sue

How did you miss you own surprise birthday party? x
Daughter got a call on Wednesday at 4:00 a.m. from our home town Police Force..... It seems the "Big Boss" called them after seeing women in his closet and a dead man hanging from his Ceiling Fan.... Only Problem.......He doesn't have any ceiling fans in his house... Daughter...... having to make the decision what to do with him.....since we were home in Georgia sound asleep....and unable to hear even a bomb go off... Had the police take him to the local hospital...... Now the BB is heading towards 90 in a few months.... He lives alone and still drives.... We have been trying to get him into an Assisted Living Home for the past three years... He refused to budge.... He refused to let anyone into the house.. We also tried to get him to give up his license....to no avail.... The sad part is we could not get anyone to assist us... His doctor told us years ago that he was a grown man and we couldn't tell him what to do.... So back to the ER this Wednesday he was checked ...
In the best interest of my left hand I find it necessary to take a short break from blogging.......that nasty staph infection has refused to go away and with no signs of it improving I need to stop using the computer......every time I go online to type the finger resembles W.C. Fields nose.....not a good thing.....I hope I can return soon and catch up with my Weekends in Paris....but in the meantime...remember.....Don't garden without gloves!! See you all soon.....
If it's Thursday it must be our favorite sport of the week! Tablescape Thursdays with Susan...... Our Tablescape "Diva" at http://www.betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ Stop by Susan's site for links to everyone participating in this fun weekly event. HAPPY 50TH. BIRTHDAY BARBIE!!!!! Do you remember when you received your very first Barbie doll? I do and it started out as the all time worst birthday of my life.......It was October 8, 1959.....Barbie had just come on the scene on March 10th of that year and she was the hottest thing to hit town....Every girl wanted a Barbie doll including me.....My birthday came and the folks did not get me Miss B....I was heart broken. Then to make matters worse I was shunned by the neighbor friend who was younger then me... Wendy Combs lived next door and was a semi-friend.....meaning she only had to be friends with me because I lived next door.... So that day she was going down to Superior Pharmacy with her "real" frien...
