I was so sorry to read that you'd lost your Boo - we lost our beloved Rosie in September as well. It as a hard month. But....Happy Birthday! What a lot of birthdays you've collected for your special day. I hope it was a great one!
Well, I just signed up as a new follower because I realized that I was reading the whole blog thingy (past posts) with a sappy looking grin on my face. Well, except for the one about Boo. I am so sorry about that. It is NEVER easy to lose a pet-even when we know it is coming.
Anyway-I found you through Debbie over at Lakehouse. I have a new motto and that is I am only signing up for blogs I like and am willing to follow and comment on. So...guess what? You are IT!
I missed your last two posts because I thought you were visiting your girls. I am so sorry to read about Boo. As I type this, I have tears in my eyes and Buster the beast of the east is at my feet. I'm also sorry I missed wishing you a happy birthday. I hope you had a wonderful day.
I was sorry to hear about Boo too. If you're not an animal lover, you don't always appreciate how much they become and are an essential part of the family. Losing them leaves such a big hole that actually nothing can ever replace; I guess we just eventually learn to live with this space whilst remembering the happy memories. Sending you BIG big hugs from over the ocean - Al xxx
70ish Mom of a 45 year old lady lawyer, grams to an adorable 13 year old granddaughter better known as Miss "B"...New Grams to 3 year old Jack Horowitz. He's not fond of Grandma as he is always giving me the raspberries, but adores the Boss.....he's the worlds happiest Toddler. Wife of 50 years to the Boss and he has me spending most of my waking hours at the kitchen stove. We live for our next meal..I love to cook and I'm now into bread baking. I also love my bright red V.W. bug convertible.(my 7th one) I think it's the cutest car ever built! Originally from New Jersey I constantly complain about living in the South...Hey, there's no good pizza here!! And then there is my wacky blog name....Well it comes from the summer I spent in Paris with daughter...The Rue Mouffetard is the famous street where it's all about food...every kind of food is sold there that you can imagine....I shopped there everyday for all our meals...It was heaven!! We have lived in Georgia for 35 years but will always be a "Jersey Girl"...

I didn't realize how many comments you got about Boo, until I just went back through them, and read the gem from your husband. You are one lucky lady.

Hi Sue,
I hope hubby found some comfort from the comments. I know how attached we become to our pets and how much we miss them.
Hugs,

Honey, big dogs leave BIG holes in your heart! I know Boo was a very special dog.
I still smile, though, thinking of what you fed him on his last day.
