OUTDOOR EYE CANDY...........with the backseat decorator

It's that time again when Sue has too much time on her hands so I looked around the
Internet and came up with picture perfect
decorating ideas....
I ran out of inside rooms so I thought I would take it out onto decks and porches
and lawns....
This is a long one so go grab yourself a cup of tea and a snack...
And I hope you enjoy and get some good ideas for your outdoor spaces.....
And as usual....all pictures comes with commentary from
"The BackSeat Decorator"...
This one had to be first.....I not only have bent willow furniture....but I
actually have it inside the house....
I love it....You can put a wet glass down on the table and nothing happens!!
Someday it will go outside when I get a patio or a porch...
loved the idea of using a galvanized bucket as a little table

striped red cushions....gives it a bit of a spark....
an old painted trunk of some sort as a coffee table...

If we all lived in France....
because nobody does "al fresco" dining like the Europeans...

Tea for Two in the Garden...
Oh wait....make that tea for three!!

the black rockers are a nice contrast on this all white porch....
I have 2 rockers on my porch....
Only problem the builder made the porch too shallow so the chairs have to each
sit facing each other....
Very odd....and not very eye appealing.

I thought the heavy rope between the wooden posts looked
very beachy...
I would kill off all those beautiful plants in a week...
How cute is this...
Makes you want to sit outside all day and just eat!

Neighbor Necie would love this one....
She loves her porch swings..

and that cake looks pretty good too!

Looks good for the picture but just how practical are big white cushions

Give me an American Flag and I'm happy....

I love the idea of different colored pastel chairs....
but I think I could do without that crystal chandelier....
And if you have to have one at least hang it over the table...
Party time!!
or just an excuse to have the ladies over for lunch...

Outdoor in the City

Can you tell by now that I love the country look....
Casual is always so welcoming...
Again....Let's have the ladies over for a picnic lunch...
I would say this is out in the Hampton's....But then I spotted the mountains in
the background....pretty no matter where it is...


How about a green bench in your garden....
and don't forget the banner.

Just a simple old bench to do some gardening at....

it's nice and simple for an outdoor space...

I love big pine tables.....The Boss pointed one out to me the other day at
Pottery Barn....it was white washed and perfect for big
family dinners....or small family dinners.
Speaking of White Washed....Look at this great ceiling....
Who wouldn't want to sleep on this beautiful porch.

I loved them..not the city ones..too crowded!
And who is dragging those big heavy upholstered chairs outside?
But a good selection of looks to go for.
I am telling you to buy stock in Krylon paint. Around here this time of year, there's a run on it to spray the wicker. I need another case, and a day with no wind so dh stops yelling that it is blowing on his car. He should get a white car and he won't have to worry!

I loved every single one of these! And that bucket idea... I have one of those big tins! I might have to try that! :-) Gosh, there were so many cute ideas on these pages. And I am in love with that little garden house or folly. I want one of those in the worst way! If we weren't selling the St. A. house, I would be doing all sorts of things to the yard like this. Got my coffee and a bagel and sat down to enjoy your outdoor pictures. There were so many to choose from - it was hard to pick a favorite - but I like the one near the end with the screened in porch and nice bed - wouldn't it be so nice to sleep there when it was nice and cool and breezy?

Then for a real outdoor patio - I kind of liked the first one.

I love them all. Great outdoor spaces... maybe they'll inspire me. Of course, I can fix it all up but Pa won't want to eat outdoors. When he works outside all day, he wants AC and no insects... go figure!

Gorgeous photos Sue! I havent seen the light of day since I began classes this spring! Ugh! I love the green bench with the flowers, I have to admit, that even though the upholstered chairs outside look so beautiful it wouldn't work here in Michigan with our rain. I wish I could import all of these into my back yard!

OH WOW Sue - I absolutley adore some of these spaceas. Having grown up with a huge garden it's hard not having one where I live at the moment. Well, that's not strictly true - I have acces to one, as does others who live in my flat so I rarely sit out and I can't potter around tending borders and dead-heading as I;d like! One day I will have a beautiful garden! x

I SEE DEAD PEOPLE.........a Blog Pause.

Daughter got a call on Wednesday at 4:00 a.m. from our home town Police Force..... It seems the "Big Boss" called them after seeing women in his closet and a dead man hanging from his Ceiling Fan.... Only Problem.......He doesn't have any ceiling fans in his house... Daughter...... having to make the decision what to do with him.....since we were home in Georgia sound asleep....and unable to hear even a bomb go off... Had the police take him to the local hospital...... Now the BB is heading towards 90 in a few months.... He lives alone and still drives.... We have been trying to get him into an Assisted Living Home for the past three years... He refused to budge.... He refused to let anyone into the house.. We also tried to get him to give up his license....to no avail.... The sad part is we could not get anyone to assist us... His doctor told us years ago that he was a grown man and we couldn't tell him what to do.... So back to the ER this Wednesday he was checked ...

TIME OUT..........................

In the best interest of my left hand I find it necessary to take a short break from blogging.......that nasty staph infection has refused to go away and with no signs of it improving I need to stop using the computer......every time I go online to type the finger resembles W.C. Fields nose.....not a good thing.....I hope I can return soon and catch up with my Weekends in Paris....but in the meantime...remember.....Don't garden without gloves!! See you all soon.....
