oh....i'm really missing georgia right now. especially jekyll island. we also loved st. simon's and cumberland islands too. the armadillos are incredible there! thanks for sending me back for a little visit! great pictures.
Pretty pics! I have driven over Lake Hartwell many times on the way to Fl...Someday I plan on going to Atlanta and doing the Scott's Market...Maybe you, Manuela and I can meet!
Great pics...I love love LOVE the one of the shoes!
That tomato tart in your last post looked too good to be true! James made a pizza on the grill last week that was SO yummy...I should post a pic and recipe of it the next time he makes it.
Hey Sue, I stopped in after seeing your comment at Tami's place. The pics are great...that thing on the cows neck is a transponder for a computer feeder - when she walks up to the grain feeder she'll get the appropriate amount of feed for her level of milk production. A daily printout will also tell the farmer if she's not eating, great way to catch a sick cow early. I know...probably more info than you wanted. heehee
Daughter got a call on Wednesday at 4:00 a.m. from our home town Police Force..... It seems the "Big Boss" called them after seeing women in his closet and a dead man hanging from his Ceiling Fan.... Only Problem.......He doesn't have any ceiling fans in his house... Daughter...... having to make the decision what to do with him.....since we were home in Georgia sound asleep....and unable to hear even a bomb go off... Had the police take him to the local hospital...... Now the BB is heading towards 90 in a few months.... He lives alone and still drives.... We have been trying to get him into an Assisted Living Home for the past three years... He refused to budge.... He refused to let anyone into the house.. We also tried to get him to give up his license....to no avail.... The sad part is we could not get anyone to assist us... His doctor told us years ago that he was a grown man and we couldn't tell him what to do.... So back to the ER this Wednesday he was checked ...
I hadn't done a Tablescape in awhile so last week I put together a table design I was going to call "Lobster For Two" Getting out from hiding all my lobster related plates and cups and such..... I layed down layers of newspaper as my table covering......propped up my favorite Maine license plate and took lots of pictures....For some reason after taking the shots I promptly put everything back where they came from...I usually keep the table set for a couple of days to enjoy the tablescape but this time I didn't......You know the old saying... "Everything happens for a reason" This is how my table looks when not set.....I have since added 2 more chickens to the coop and gave them all lovely names.... There was Charlotte and Maude.....Maxine and Millie.... Notice I say "there was"..... A preview of what my "Lobster for Two" table looked like.....All I have to say is Boy am I glad something made me put all the dishes and glassware and stuf...
In the best interest of my left hand I find it necessary to take a short break from blogging.......that nasty staph infection has refused to go away and with no signs of it improving I need to stop using the computer......every time I go online to type the finger resembles W.C. Fields nose.....not a good thing.....I hope I can return soon and catch up with my Weekends in Paris....but in the meantime...remember.....Don't garden without gloves!! See you all soon.....
