Sue, may you and the Boss and your family have a truly wonderful Christmas! It's been a special treat getting to know you better this past year and I'm so glad you are enjoying the red scarf. And I love my antiqued American flag.
I am so proud to have recieved one of these truly special cards and I just had to sit down and cry when opened it. How I grew to love Boo...I think about him so often and just know he and our Kip are getting to know one another and having such a good time together! The painting is such a work of art...Love, Sue
I read this some time ago, but didn't leave a comment. Just want to send love and holiday greetings your way. Have a happy Christmas with Boo looking down from above.
Daughter got a call on Wednesday at 4:00 a.m. from our home town Police Force..... It seems the "Big Boss" called them after seeing women in his closet and a dead man hanging from his Ceiling Fan.... Only Problem.......He doesn't have any ceiling fans in his house... Daughter...... having to make the decision what to do with him.....since we were home in Georgia sound asleep....and unable to hear even a bomb go off... Had the police take him to the local hospital...... Now the BB is heading towards 90 in a few months.... He lives alone and still drives.... We have been trying to get him into an Assisted Living Home for the past three years... He refused to budge.... He refused to let anyone into the house.. We also tried to get him to give up his license....to no avail.... The sad part is we could not get anyone to assist us... His doctor told us years ago that he was a grown man and we couldn't tell him what to do.... So back to the ER this Wednesday he was checked ...
I hadn't done a Tablescape in awhile so last week I put together a table design I was going to call "Lobster For Two" Getting out from hiding all my lobster related plates and cups and such..... I layed down layers of newspaper as my table covering......propped up my favorite Maine license plate and took lots of pictures....For some reason after taking the shots I promptly put everything back where they came from...I usually keep the table set for a couple of days to enjoy the tablescape but this time I didn't......You know the old saying... "Everything happens for a reason" This is how my table looks when not set.....I have since added 2 more chickens to the coop and gave them all lovely names.... There was Charlotte and Maude.....Maxine and Millie.... Notice I say "there was"..... A preview of what my "Lobster for Two" table looked like.....All I have to say is Boy am I glad something made me put all the dishes and glassware and stuf...
In the best interest of my left hand I find it necessary to take a short break from blogging.......that nasty staph infection has refused to go away and with no signs of it improving I need to stop using the computer......every time I go online to type the finger resembles W.C. Fields nose.....not a good thing.....I hope I can return soon and catch up with my Weekends in Paris....but in the meantime...remember.....Don't garden without gloves!! See you all soon.....

PS... Happy New Year!
What a lovely portrait of Boo. We got Buster's ashes back on Christmas Eve and I thought of you and the sweet gift from your Vet.
