A FAIRY TALE WEDDING........REVISITED.

Happy 7th. Anniversary to the daughter and son-in law......7 years ago today one of the out of town relatives walked into Tavern On The Green and declared it a "Fairytale".....I don't know if that was the look the daughter was going for but she planned the whole wedding herself and I think she did a heck of a job....In celebration of such a wonderful day I thought I would share some of the days highlights with you........
Get me to the church on time!!! after the limo driver was waiting at the wrong entrance to the hotel daughter had to hike it up Park Ave......luckily the weather was nice and the hotel was next door.....

Daughter and the "Boss" waiting to walk down the aisle......Yes, he did have his pants on......

If you look close at this one you can see a crowd forming on the center island of Park Avenue.....The wedding was small so to transport the guests from the church to the reception the kids rented alot of limos.....It looked like some big shot was getting married. To the dismay of the gawking tourists they seemed very disappointed to find out it was just some smucks from Jersey......we even had people sitting in the back row of the church, they didn't seem to care who was getting married.......

My favorite picture.....I know, your ooooing and ahhhing.....aren't the sparklers cool......But what Martha didn't tell us is that sparklers cause "sparks" and "sparks" cause burn holes in satin dresses.....Luckily the daughter's dress was spared.....Me, not so lucky.........by the end of the night the hem of my dress looked like plaid Swiss cheese......

And you all wonder where Miss Sophie got those good looks from..........

The famous Tavern on the Green twinkle lights in the trees......it was too cold to take the carriage ride from the church to the restaurant........A white Rolls did the honors......

Inside the tent where dinner was served.....I heard it got cold back at table 10.......sorry!!

the candles did start to list halfway through the evening, luckily they didn't catch anything on fire....

The cake......with cannoli filling, what else?

Our first dance with the kids.....My infamous tartan plaid strapless gown.....What was I thinking?

Aren't they adorable.......they have the same smile!! I think if this whole law thing doesn't work out daughter can be a wedding planner......Happy Day Guys!!!!

Oh...happy anniversary to Mlle. Mouffetard. ;-) Your daughter is beautiful, as was her very fancy wedding. And...you have mentioned this tartan gown before and I am mad about it! Love it. And yes; you spied a tartan tea cup in my grandma's collection...it's our family (my grandpa's) tartan, in fact! So no wonder I love your gown. :-)

The wedding was very lovely and the reception was a lot of fun! On the dance floor you could look at the twinkle lights on the trees. And... just above the twinkle lights, you could see the the lights in the fancy apartment buildings across the street. As for table 10, it was next to the escape hatch in the tent that kept blowing open.

Oh, beautiful wedding pictures! My daughter got married in May. Wasn't it a wonderful time??? I'm glad you got Quimper ware! I love it! It's an expensive addiction, though. I love your header, by the way!...Debbie

Congratulations to your beautiful daughter. Looks like she had a wonderful wedding. I've spent some time on your blog tonight looking at your archives. It looks like we have a few things in common. I have a red 99 VW beetle, I'm a grandma, I love to cook and eat (as does my husband, well, the eating part), I have a few pieces of diner china, I have a bob haircut, (I don't care what they say it's easy), and I have 2 dogs. Only my dogs are probably smaller that your dog's poo. Mimi

Happy Anniversary to your daughter and hubby! The wedding is just gorgeous and they look like a couple of Hollywood kids - they are so beautiful. It is no wonder where Miss Sophie gets her prettiness from.

The wedding is lovely and looks as though everything was done with great detail and love. Cannoli filling? Oh YUMO!

PS: I like your plaid dress, even though it looked like swiss cheese in the end.

That is a fairytale wedding! How beautiful! The sparklers were neat and I wouldn't have thought about them doing much harm either. Your daughter is so pretty! Thanks for sharing!
