Okay....so he's really not the World's Oldest Living Great Pyrenees.... I don't want to get comments from Pyrenees lovers around the country that I'm lying.... But our Boo turned 12 today And we swear that he's aging backwards..... You know like Benjamin Button... Even our Vet and Dear Mr. Roper over at the Kennel are amazed At how good he looks... Clear eyes....great hearing...beautiful fur....Just a tad bit of arthritis... He is 2 years past the life expectancy for a dog his size.... And he's doing so well.... The Boss decided to take a snooze this afternoon so I decided to do what I rarely do.... Take in a movie... After seeing the trailer for Julia Robert's newest movie it looked like a real Ladies Flick.....I mean who wouldn't want to spend the Afternoon traveling all over the world in 133 minutes. Taking about a half hour to set the stage you weren't surprised to see Julia looking as beautiful as ever.....How many kids does she have?? It was a pleasant set up for her travels to Italy....India and then Bali... You get to meet the men in her life before she takes off for a year of traveling around the world to find herself..... About 45 minutes into the movie and with Julia sitting at a Bistro Table in Italy I was ready to get up and run home... No No No......not because the movie was bad... There were two reasons... Julia was sitting eating a big bowl of spaghetti....I mean she was really enjoying That Pasta... You see I had left home cooking sauce and meatballs in the crock-p...

But the Air Conditioning is so Delightful..... And since I've got no place to go... Let me Blog Let me Blog Let me blog... I know...... how corny can I get but my gosh it is hot down here..... So what does Sue decide to do in 90 degree heat.....Why cook cold weather comfort food!! I had all the "fixens" (that's a Southern word) for Chicken Pot Pie so I fired up the oven and in about a half hour I had this wonderful hot and bubbly not meant for hot weather meal.... About 4:00 I decided to take the Boo Dog out to see if the mail had come and the minute I opened the front door the air just took my breath away..... Only showing 84 degrees in the shade the humidity was overwhelming... We wandered down to the mailbox....limping with the broken toe.. Boo ready to have a coronary..... I opened the mailbox to find a box addressed to me.... I never get anything in the mail so I was surprised to see my name instead of the Boss' The Boss is always getting packages..... So I ...

Not to be confused with the Real "Fat" Housewives of Cobb County.... the blogging ladies of Atlanta got together once again for a wonderful Brunch today hosted by the lovely Cheryl of JoJo'sJoy' After picking up everyone's favorite baker.....Flour Power Joyce.... we found our way by some sort of miracle to Cheryl's house.......because Joyce might be able to bake and Joyce might be able to cook But "Our Joyce" is really bad at reading driving directions.... Joyce single handily put the "Garmin" in business.. As with all our get togethers the food was wonderful...... And plenty of it! We had chicken salad....because at every Good Southern Gathering worth it's weight in Well....Southern Stuff... You gotta have your chicken salad... and this was delicious... And let's not forget Quiche.... And ofcourse Two Quiche are better then One... You just can't have a party with out "cocktail weenies" Another Southern favorite.... C...

When I knew we would be in Jersey for the Boss' Birthday this year I thought it would be nice to order him a cake from none other then Buddy "The Cake Boss" Not one of those fancy fondant things but just a regular Birthday Cake..... So two weeks before the big day I called and placed my order.... The Boss loves strawberry shortcake so I ordered a yellow cake with whipped cream Frosting and fresh strawberries both inside and out..... finishing it off with a "Happy Birthday Grandpa" I was asked to pre pay for the cake at what I thought was a very reasonable price of $35.00 and that included the extra charge for all the fresh berries that I requested.... we couldn't keep the surprise from the Boss as soon as he suggested we take a trip to Hoboken on one of the days leading up to his birthday.....
