This is Palmetto outdoor wicker from every one's favorite The Pottery Barn.... we started buying this when we moved in to the new house in August of 2011 and over the years we add new Pieces until we now own 13 pieces of this stuff.... I won't even bring up the bad umbrella's they sold us that had to go in to the trash...they rusted...the wood swelled up they were basically Crap... Now we are not one's to cheap out on everything we buy.... Just some things...I am the frugal one in the family The Boss....not so much... He loved this stuff and after all it was "The Pottery Barn".... Talk about a PR team who makes all of America think this is the end all be all of furniture... Think again people... We must have spent in excess of $10,000.00 on this stuff... Not counting the two sofa's the various tables and our kitchen table and chairs... That figure is ...

It's that time of year again when I like to post one of my All Time Favorite Summer Pie Recipes... It's Peach season down here in Georgia and although Georgia is the "Peach State" I prefer South Carolina peaches...they are fabulous... This is all you need to make this great tasting pie.... Forget about Chocolate and Strawberries... Chocolate with Peaches is an unexpected and delicious Combination.... Here's what you need.... One Oreo cookie crust one package of instant vanilla pudding... I discovered Hershey's puddings and they are very good... one 1/2 pint of heavy whipping cream About 4 to 5 good size ripe peaches... These sat on my counter since last Friday and by today they were perfect...you want the peach to be soft to the touch...don't use a hard peach it will not be sweet... also...buy "freestone" peaches...easier to slice.... Whip the heavy cream in a medium size bowl... refrigerate while you do the remainder steps... Mix the pud...

It started the night before with The Cake.... I took advise from the cake master.... aka: Chicago Joyce....aka: Betty Crocker... and I went with real whipped cream instead of cream cheese frosting on the strawberry cake... Mistake!! you can't work with a whole quart of fresh whipping cream and expect it...even with a stabilizer to hold it's shape... Not in the summer.... but it held up okay in the fridge overnight so then I moved on to baking the Madeline's that would the party favors..... It was Linda @ A La Carte blog.... and Necie....the previous next door neighbor and dear friend for 30 years...birthdays We celebrate every year and I host the luncheon... mini chocolate chip Madeline's By Ina.... I always try to bake a little something for the Peeps to take home... The Table was set weeks in advance.... I was going to go with a Paris theme for Miss Linda... Atlanta is quickly becoming the "Hollywood of the South" Filming 26 t.v. and movies this month alone... When you think... "Light's....Camera....Action"....the last thing you  think of is "Those Adivari's"... But if it's something stupid to do...... that just might keep us from aging....Why not... Last month a neighbor spotted on Facebook that a local Casting Agency was looking for Authentic Looking Italian men for a Crime  Drama set in Brooklyn.... Well.....Jersey is close enough and the Boss sure is  Italian... so late one night I e-mailed his picture and First thing the next morning Hollywood came Calling.... Never having done this before the Boss was a bit apprehensive and didn't know what to expect when I waved him goodbye at 4:30 a.m on the day of the shoot.... I expected him back home by around 8:30 a.m. But he's not one to take on a challenge and not follow through... He showed up back home aroun...

How often do you invite people over for dinner and the first thing they normally ask is.... "What can I bring"..... If your a cook like me you will usually have a menu all Planned from soup to nuts... And you really don't need something that might not Go with what your cooking... Of Course The one exception would be Cook Outs....and Southern BBQ's.... Who wouldn't  always welcome some one's special Potato Salad....Cole Slaw or Baked Beans.... or even a simple dessert.... I find that people... when told "Don't bring a thing....just your appetite" come with long time favorites Flowers.....Or Candy.... But.... then you will hear "Don't bring flowers as a Hostess Gift".... The Hostess has to stop what she's doing to put the Flowers in water and it seems nobody likes to do that... I'm the exception as I love any kind of flowers and would welcome them with open arms... Candy is another iffy item with everyone seeming to be...

It was at our last get together that someone in the group mentioned a "road trip" to see the "Dressing Downton" exhibit at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville N.C. It didn't take but about 3 minutes for us all to agree this was something we needed to plan.... So with reservations made and tickets bought...and Five easily agreeable women we were all set to take on The Vanderbilt's!! Calling ourselves The "Real" Real Housewives of Atlanta" we ended up after 2 days and I don't know how many Miles....Rose re-named us... "The Hot Mess Express"..... I think it had something to do with the green feather Boa's and the little green hats... Hey....it was St. Patrick's Day! Here we are at our first stop of the Day....
