OUR BOO..... AUGUST 23, 1998 - SEPTEMBER 30 2010 It is a sad day in our house today.... We took Boo to the kennel yesterday and he collapsed as we took him out of the car... We brought him back home and he spent a peaceful night eating cherry ice cream and lots of cookies.... We took him to the Vet this morning and he passed away peacefully at 9:15.... We love you Boo and we will Miss You.....

Before I leave for the big trip back to the Motherland.... I thought I would leave you with a few "Sue-isms" You know....just a few things in my wacky life... Seen while driving the other day down Shallowford Road... One big cloud hiding the sun.... Saw this movie over the weekend.... It was the Boss' treat as he was home watching Sunday Football.... He even sprung for the nacho combo with large drink... Cute movie.... Betty White had all the best one liners....She's a real hoot.... but the best scene in the whole movie was when the brides ex-fiance comes to the rehearsal dinner and gets up to give a toast.... Priceless.... Jamie Lee Curtis is not aging well.....lots of wrinkles.... and Sigourney Weaver was looking fine until she fell into a pool and got her face and hair wet.... Not a good look for her.... Don't race to see this one but it's certainly worth renting when it when it comes out on DVD.... Bruster's makes the finest Key Lime Pie ice cream.......

We are not big meatloaf fans But on our recent trip to daughters she made Giada's Turkey Meatloaf with Sun Dried Tomatoes and Feta Cheese..... And it was very very good.... So good that the Boss even went back for seconds....which for the Boss is a Big Deal... So when I got back to Georgia I had to ask her for the recipe.... And you know it has to be good because I am not a fan of ground turkey and I am even less a fan of Feta Cheese.... Serving it the way she did with red skin mashed potatoes with Ranch Dressing and Some more Feta......French Green beans with mushrooms.... it has now become a staple in my cooking repertoire.... And then I got a brain storm..... I changed up the ingredients a bit and the Boss loves this version too.... I like to think of it as "Thanksgiving All in One Dish"....... Served with my all time favorite side dish.....Red Skin Roasted Potatoes and roasted Cauliflower with Parmesan bread crumbs.... I substituted the Sundried Tomatoes for Dried Cra...

You all know how much fun we have down here in Atlanta.... Even when three bloggers meet we can turn it into a party..... So over lunch today in Midtown with everybody's favorite Ex-Blogger Joyce and Cheryl of JoJo's Joys .... We discussed how much fun it would be if we shared our town with all you Ladies out there in Blogland.... We realized how much stuff is going on in town this week.... Between "Restaurant Week" The Yellow Daisy Festival over at Stone Mountain.... To Scott's Antique Market ..... Not to mention great shopping and even better eating.... Here's a little sample of what I'm talking about.... She Crab Soup with a Southern Favorite Pulled Pork with Slaw... Homemade chips... We actually did more eating then talking..... I spared you all the deep fried Chicken Livers over creamed corn that I ordered... The Boss asked if they had to "pay me" to eat that.... What can I say I love chicken livers... We ate at South City Kitchen And yes....

As Bloggers We All know that we all get all kinds of Cards.....and Thank You's.....and Post Cards from Vacations..... among assorted other goodies.... Oh and let's not forget all those wonderful gifts that the husbands still can't believe we Get For No Reason.... And I was accumulating quite the lovely collection.... I didn't want to just stash them all in a drawer someplace and forget about them... They mean too much to me.... From Sally's Sweet Note That came along with a wonderful Milkglass basket.... To Birthday Greetings..... To Friends that Travel to far away Places..... See that adorable little green box.... Yup...that's right.... Inside that box came..... Those fabulous Macaroons direct from Paris.... They were Baked on Thursday and I was eating them on Friday..... To a Thank You Paper Flower from a favorite Blogger Daughter..... "Thank You Grace" So I went to Ikea and bought an old fashioned Bulletin Board.... And I hung it in my Sewing Roo...

Last I reported in on the puppy situation in Jersey I was showing off The Grand Doodle Felix..... Well that was then and this is now... And this adorable face turned out to be.... in his past life.... A character out of a Steven King Novel... Who knew such a cute puss could be one hair short of being Cudjo..... Daughter and Family tried their best to pamper this pooch but to no avail.... He was on speed 24 hours a day.... And his playful puppy teething turned out to be "I want to bite your face off" When your a Mom and you have a Toddler.....a puppy.....and you work from home As a Lawyer... when the puppy turns psychotic the puppy has to go.... So this Thursday Daughter.....Miss "B" and Felix took the 5 hour drive back to The Farm in Virginia.....literally... Back to the breeder who in *Her* past life must have been a Scientist....
