TWO BIRTHDAYS......FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!

It actually started 60 years ago today
When my mother gave birth to me!!And then Like Magic!!
On my 25th. Birthday.......

I got this cute little package as my Birthday Present.....
And it was...
exactly 25 years later
And 3 minutes apart...
In the same hospital....
Happy 35th. Birthday Daughter!!

I love birtdays just not what they bring. Arthritis I mean,I shouldn't say that I guess. That is not a happy thought. I love the cakes, presents , cards and all that goes with our birthday.

Daughter alida is born the day after howard's birthday, but I thought she'd be born on that day. I thought wrong! Anne's born 5 days after me. Close, but not as spot-on as yours!

I SEE DEAD PEOPLE.........a Blog Pause.

Daughter got a call on Wednesday at 4:00 a.m. from our home town Police Force..... It seems the "Big Boss" called them after seeing women in his closet and a dead man hanging from his Ceiling Fan.... Only Problem.......He doesn't have any ceiling fans in his house... Daughter...... having to make the decision what to do with him.....since we were home in Georgia sound asleep....and unable to hear even a bomb go off... Had the police take him to the local hospital...... Now the BB is heading towards 90 in a few months.... He lives alone and still drives.... We have been trying to get him into an Assisted Living Home for the past three years... He refused to budge.... He refused to let anyone into the house.. We also tried to get him to give up his license....to no avail.... The sad part is we could not get anyone to assist us... His doctor told us years ago that he was a grown man and we couldn't tell him what to do.... So back to the ER this Wednesday he was checked ...

Activity.... This week over at the Darling Bakers where I contribute very little compared to my other Darling Ladies....we had a St. Patrick's Day Party... It was all about the food with some green thrown in... My table was not very creative....just lots of green. The food on the other hand was pretty darn good....So here's a simple table and some really good eats!! Another quilt was pulled out just for the occasion Along with all my green pitchers....plates and platters... The Romaine sure was green..... another excuse to bring out the dinner china.... EVERYONE ALWAYS HEARS ABOUT LOS ANGELES' HORRIBLE TRAFFIC...... NOW I REALIZE THEY MEAN THE HIGHWAYS.....BUT.... I GIVE YOU DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES TRAFFIC... IN THE FIVE DAYS WE WERE IN CALIFORNIA WE EXPERIENCED ZERO TRAFFIC.... AND YES WE DID DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAYS.... I CAN'T EXPLAIN IT..... NOW YOU WANT TO TALK TRAFFIC....SEE ALL THOSE CARS.... THEY ARE PARKED...AND THEIR PASSENGERS WERE ALL OUT WALKING.... WHAT I WOULD GUESS TO BE A 2 MILE WALK.....UPHILL... TO THIS.... THE GRIFFITH OBSERVATORY...... UNBELIEVABLE..... HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE.... CARS AS FAR AS THE EYE COULD SEE.... AND PEOPLE WALKING.... LIKE IF YOU MADE IT TO THE TOP SOMEONE WOULD GIVE YOU A MILLION DOLLARS.....OR IN MY CASE....  TOM SELLECK IN THE BUFF...... THANK GOODNESS FOR THE "HANDICAPABLE" TAG...
