Have you tried, The Barbecue Kitchen in East Point, Harolds in the bad side of town, down in ATL, or Two Brothers up in Ballground? They are all very different and very good. The best Brunswick stew I've ever eaten in my life is at Harolds. That's Lewis Grizzard old haunt...if you remember Lewis. Two Brothers has sawdust floors and wonderful sweet tea, and of course great barbeque. It's only open a few days a week so call 'em before you go. And if you go, be sure to get their home made icecream for dessert. Next time you are headed to or away from the airport (Hartsfield) stop by The Barbecue Kitchen. They serve a lot more than just BBQ, but they do have great barbecue, too. My favorite thing there is baked hen and dressing...which is a Wednesday or Sunday item only, as I recall. Then there's a little place called Melears...ok, I'll stop. :-)SusanSusan (Between Naps On The Porch.net)https://www.blogger.com/profile/09655622740971576915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8445101225590239389.post-61455211578830494662009-01-07T22:16:00.000-08:002009-01-07T22:16:00.000-08:00Oh how we love Sonny's! When you get old you really can't eat as much - nature's way of compensating for the no metabolism thing, I guess. Have a great week! As for Souther Bar-be-que, I love Speedy Pig in Fayetteville. Since we no longer live in Fayette county, I probably will not have the opportunity to taste their fare again. I think they went out of business because so many other BBQ places have sprung up around here. It was never a favorite of mine though. I like my BBQ sauce cooked on my food. I don't like it poured on after or like a side dish. Jim N Nicks is really good on S. Cobb Dr. where the old Home Depot Landscaping used to be.

That's my problem with taking stuff to Goodwill - I always have to go in to see what they have! At least I drop off more than I pick up! Good for you in getting so organized this year- it feels good to get rid of clutter. I really hate having garage sales so I usually go the Goodwill route.

ManuelaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8445101225590239389.post-74343555821584654282009-01-06T09:37:00.000-08:002009-01-06T09:37:00.000-08:00Oh my.
